If you KNOW just one thing today: It’s great to be a “quick start”, but significance comes with being a strong finisher.
Hey Peeps, it’s Thursday, my favorite day of the week! For me it’s a day of optimism, still enough time left to bang out a few deliverables for the week, and only two days to the weekend … woohoo! Speaking of which …. Your weekend is going to be SO much more enjoyable What I know about you is that NOT getting your to do list done is going to sit as a boulder on your shoulder … heavy! Not only will you not be able to enjoy yourself this weekend, but you’ll head into Monday with dread. That’s no way to end a week, or start one. Ugh. What can you cross off your list today so that you can set yourself up for that satisfying rest coming your way? Who do you need to call? Do it. Spend your day being a really really good finisher. Not only will it boost your credibility, speak to your character and build confidence, it will just feel SO good : D Quick starts may be exciting, but nothing feels as good as a satisfying finish. Go ahead friend … make me proud!
If you DO just one thing today:
Everything you said you would ; )

If you KNOW just one thing today: Thinking doesn’t create clarity. Action creates clarity.
Do you sometimes find that when you are stuck, you tend to freeze? Confused by which road to take, or how to make something happen, you stop dead in your tracks….and then you go straight into thinking mode to try and figure it out. But the problem is – thinking will only take you as far as your current knowledge, insight and perspective allows. Which is why you got stuck in the first place. The truth is, all the thinking in the world will not clarify or refine your ideas nearly as effectively or creatively as action will. When you take action, when you just try something, the process of the trial (and error) creates the clarity you need. Because when you are in motion you see things and you experience things that you just cannot see and experience in a thinking state. Take these Deb-isms for example… When I sit down to write the Deb-ism I never know what the theme or the content will be. I sit in front of the keyboard, open myself up, and just start typing. As I am writing, it is very often that the content will take a different direction than how I start out. I can’t tell you how many times the Deb-ism started out as A and ended up as B. The act of writing the idea, clarified and refined the idea. Or paved the way for a better idea : ) But if I were to sit and stew about the Deb-isms, and try to figure them out in my head, I would be completely and utterly stuck. By getting into action, and putting my typing fingers into motion, ideas flow and start to take shape. Just like this one you are reading right now : ) Aren’t we lucky for that ; )
If you DO just one thing today:
If you don’t know what to do, just try something. And watch the clarity that something will bring you. To your success!

I sooo totally get today’s Deb-ism … nothing keeps “me” stuck more than my own thinking. In fact, more often than not, what starts off as a meeting of one in my head typically turns into a full blown board of directors meeting followed by my own mental state of “stuckedness”. (I love making up my own words lol) To those of you who want to continue to “think” your way outta this I say… YOU”RE FIRED! #signmeup
